About the role

 Ward 2.2 is currently seeking experienced and enthusiastic Grade 2 Registered Nurse to join our team.

 Ward 2.2 - Cardiology, Respiratory & OBGY Services:

• 32 bed department comprising of 6 dedicated CCU beds and 26 ward beds specialising in Cardiology and Respiratory services


• Box Hill Hospital is a major interventional hub for cardiology services in the eastern suburbs.


• Ward 2.2 offers both Cardiac TSP and Post Graduate Courses (Cardiac Care), which provide many exciting opportunities for future professional development


• You will have the opportunity to become a part of a multidisciplinary team that takes pride in providing high quality care.


• The Cardiac unit is supported by Cardiology Nurse Educators and a Clinical Support Nurse

 Ward 2.2 is a fast paced work environment with a high proportion of monitored patients. A strong commitment to customer service and high quality patient care is required. Applicants should be flexible, dependable, organised and caring with the ability to work well in a team environment.

 Rotating roster: includes 1 week of night duty every 3-4 weeks or alternatively 2 weeks of night duty every 6-7 weeks.

About you 

 To be successful in this role you should possess:

• Recent experience in acute nursing


• Well-developed interpersonal and leadership skills


• Ability to work as part of a diverse team


• Strong commitment to high quality patient care

 Desired attributes/skills:

• ECG and rhythm recognition skills (highly desired)


• IV cannulation accreditation
