About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for enthusiastic, experienced cardiology and respiratory nurses to join our cardiology, respiratory and infectius diseases services team on Ward 2.2 at Box Hill Hospital.

We are a fast paced work environment with a high proportion of monitored patients. We are a 32 bed unit comprising 6 dedicated CCU beds and 26 ward beds. We offer learning and teaching opportunities including Cardiac TSP and post-graduate courses (cardiac care), which provide exciting future professional development opportunities. You will join a cohesive multi-disciplinary team and receive support from nurse educators and a clinical support nurse.

Rotating roster: includes 1 week of night duty every 3-4 weeks or alternatively 2 weeks of night duty every 6-7 weeks.

About you 

You are flexible, organised, caring and can work well in a team environment. You should possess:

  • Recent experience in acute nursing
  • Well-developed interpersonal and leadership skills
  • The ability to work as part of a diverse team
  • A strong commitment to high quality patient care
  • ECG and rhythm recognition skills (highly desired)
