Your role in our future:


The Cancer Imaging department at Peter Mac provides interventional and diagnostic services for all oncology patients. With an expanding and diverse patient population, Cancer Imaging is a stimulating and fulfilling place to work with application of new interventions, research and therapies. The nursing team is pivotal in providing patient focused care and work closely with the imaging and referring teams to ensure each patient is managed to a high standard care in the following clinical modalities:

  • Interventional Procedures - from pre-procedure screening and preparation; scrub, scout and sedation roles and post-procedural care performed using angiography, fluoroscopy, ultrasound, mammography, MRI or CT.

  • Diagnostic procedures

  • Bone Marrow Biopsies

  • Molecular Therapies- including supporting patients in PET, nuclear medicine and whilst receiving radionuclide therapies

About You:

  • Previous experience in medical imaging or oncology nursing is highly desirable but not essential

  • Proven clinical experience in an acute hospital setting

  • Commitment to evidence based clinical practice and commitment to own education

  • Passion for patient care and high level of customer service

  • Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment
