An exciting opportunity has become available for a caring, motivated and enthusiastic Registered Nurse to join the team with in the Emergency Department at Footscray. Our Emergency Nurses have a strong clinical understanding and the ability to collaborate effectively with an inter-professional team to ensure that patient’s receive the highest quality care. You will be supported by experienced Clinical Nurse Educators and Clinical Nurse Instructors who provide clinical education and supervision in this unit 7 days a week.
Footscray Emergency Department is an Adult Emergency Department, which also includes a Short Stay Unit. Footscray Hospital provides a variety of medical and surgical services. Some of the surgical services provided include Interventional Radiology, Orthopaedic, Thoracic, Neuro, ENT, Colorectal, Urology and General Surgery.

Bank nurses at Western Health are managed by the Nursing and Midwifery Workforce Unit (NMWU) and are able to work across a variety of wards at Western Health. Bank nurses are required to be available a minimum of one shift a fortnight and are able to pick up shift vacancies as they arise. Shift vacancies are sent out by our allocations team and work opportunities and shift offers will depend on the organisations vacancies each day. Working on Bank provides nurses a great opportunity to develop and expand their clinical skills and to experience a variety of different work places.
