Austin Health is world-renowned for its research and specialist work in cancer, liver transplantation, spinal cord injuries, neurology, endocrinology, mental health and rehabilitation.


An exciting opportunity currently exists for an enthusiastic and highly experienced Registered Nurse to join 8 West.


Ward 8 West is a 32 bed general surgery, liver transplant, intestinal transplant and gastroenterology ward. Our general surgical unit provides expertise in hepatopancreatobiliary surgery. This patient population comes from appeoximately 75% Emergency surgery and the critical care area's for those with advanced and complex liver disease, as well as those with disease of the gastrointestinal tract. TPN and fistula management is also a key aprt of care provided on 8 West.


The Victorian Liver Transplant Unit provides liver transplantation servcies for all of Victoria, Tasmania, and parts of Southern New South Wales.
