About the role
Our Operating Suite consists of 6 theatres and a 13-bay recovery unit to provide a 24/7 service. Grampians Health Ballarat attracts high calibre specialists which enables us to provide a variety of specialty services including Orthopaedics, Gynaecology/Obstetrics, Urology, ENT, Vascular, Ophthalmology, Plastics, General surgery, and Robotic Surgeries across a variety of specialties. You will have the opportunity to be exposed to many facets of Anaesthetic and Recovery room nursing and be an integral part of our team.
As the successful applicant, you will have extensive clinical experience in Anaesthetic and Recovery room nursing for a minimum of 2 years. A post graduate qualification in the fields of Anaesthetic and/or Recovery room nursing considered advantageous. You will be expected to work collaboratively and consultatively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Working as part of our dynamic team, you will be providing and fostering best practice patient care. We have a very supportive education team and will be provided with a comprehensive orientation process. We provide formal education and training sessions on a weekly basis. Applicants must have a commitment to being part of on call teams and there will be evening and weekend shifts rostered.

This position is paid in accordance with the Nurses and Midwives (Victorian Public Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2020 - 2024. The classification is Registered Nurse Grade 2 (YP2 - YP9) which ranges from $34.17 - $48.26 per hour.
All appointments are subject to a satisfactory police records check, immunisation clearance and Working with Children check and/or NDIS Worker Screening Check.
All employees must be willing and able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when required, which at a minimum is a surgical mask. Additional PPE requirements are role-dependent.
