About our General Medicine South West 4 Ward at Dandenong Hospital


Monash Health is the largest public health service in Victoria, employing over 18,000 people across a range of specialities.


South West 4 is an Accountable Care Experience Unit and is specialised in General Medicine with a focus on General Medicine and Telemetry Management.  We are one of two wards in Monash Health to have implemented the "Accountable Care Experience (ACE)" model for our patients.  The ACE structure has a focus on adapting innovative change to effect and provide exceptional care to our patients.  Under the governance team structure, Registered Nurses will be encouraged to communicate in harmony with Medical, Allied Health and Pharmacy leads to implement care plans.


About the Role


We are seeking Registered Nurses (RN) with proven acute Hospital experience in General Medicine to join our team and deliver a patient centred approach and excellent bedside manner. Current experience in telemetry, general medicine and palliative care, all highly sought.


We encourage engagement in professional development activities including, but not limited to undertaking Post Graduate Certificates with application to Medical/Surgical Transition into Specialty Practice.  On-site education and access to Clinical Educators and Clinical Coaches is available.


We have a part-time (40 Hrs per fortnight) temporary opportunity available, working across a 24/7 rotating roster From May 2021 to April 2022 so APPLY NOW!


About You


You are an experienced RN with previous experience in general medicine, acute hospital setting. You are a dedicated and compassionate nurse who is enthusiastic about further developing your clinical skills seek support and mentoring from those around you.

What you need:



  • A relevant Post Graduate Qualification

  • Proven clinical experience in an acute General Medicine Hospital Ward

  • A willingness to learn & grow your leadership capabilities through commitment to a portfolio

  • Australian working rights

  • Current AHPRA registration
