This is a fantastic opportunity for a Registered Nurse to step up into this leadership role at the Dunolly Nursing Home, working as a Grade 5 in a permanent position! In this role, you will deliver a high level of care to residents, provided in a quality framework and promoting positive health outcomes. You will be responsible for the running of the Dunolly Nursing Home in the absence of the Director of Nursing and Nurse Unit Manager.

Registered Nurse Grade 5 – Dunolly Campus

Permanent Part Time – 56 hours per fortnight

Classification: Registered Nurse Grade 5 (ZB7).

Award: Nurses and Midwives (Victorian Public Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2020-2024

You will be responsible for the running of the Dunolly Nursing Home in the absence of the Director of Nursing and Nurse Unit Manager.

  • Experience in aged care nursing

  • Knowledge of Aged Care Accreditation, Montessori model of care and ACFI
  • Night shift preference could be accommodated

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

Qualifications / Experience

  1. Registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  2. Relevant Post-Graduate qualifications in Gerontology and/or working towards Management
    or undertaking current studies is desirable.

Specialist Expertise

  1. Demonstrated advanced clinical nursing skills with relevant experience in the clinical speciality
  2. Demonstrated excellence in leadership and management competencies.
  3. Experience in management of change process and development of new services.
  4. Manages and engages with stakeholders consistent with MDHS values of GREAT
  5. Knowledge of contemporary Human Resources management issues including workplace health and safety, equal opportunity and anti-discrimination.
  6. Demonstrated evidence of commitment to ongoing education and professional development to ensure working within current scope of practice.
  7. High level computer skills; Residential Aged Care IT Systems and Microsoft Office© Suite.

Personal Qualities

  1. Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication, coordination and organisational skills
