Inpatient Rehabilitation Centre (IRC)
Located on the North Geelong, Grace McKellar site which is situated only minutes from the centre of Geelong. It is a vibrant community asset within the parkland surrounds of the McKellar Centre and incorporates state of the art equipment. 100 bed Subacute facility that cares for rehabilitation, GEM and Palliative Care patients. The building is comprised of 3 wards North, Central and South.
About the culture
We have an experienced team of Registered nurses and Enrolled nurses and pride ourselves on our team work as well as providing a positive work environment. All wards in IRC focus on meeting patient goals using a multidisciplinary approach to care. We are proud that this approach achieves greater outcomes for our patients. The IRC nursing teams are experienced in their fields which allows for a supportive working environment focused on professional development. New staff are very well supported and further education is supported and encouraged. The management team are always available to talk and to share ideas to work together to ensure a dynamic team environment and the door is always open! We work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team provide the best possible care to our patients, within the Safe Care Act in a positive working environment where all ideas and suggestions welcome.
