About our Neurosciences at Monash Health


Monash Health is the largest public health service in Victoria, employing over 18,000 people across a range of specialities.


Our Neurosciences (Ward 54) is a 46 bed unit which includes High Dependency beds and video monitoring beds with a primary focuses on patient care & recovery of Neurosurgery, Neurology and Stroke patients.


Our department is one of two specialised Neuroscience facilities across Victoria and operates across a 24/7 rotational roster. Proud of our ability to work within a multidisciplinary team with the sole purpose of delivering exceptional patient centred care in a family friendly environment is our common goal.


About the role


We are seeking experienced and qualified Registered Nurses (RN’s) to join our team at Monash Neuroscience (Ward 54)


As one of 2 Stroke Referral Centres in the state, you will be a part of our high functioning team involved to;



  • Showcase your clinical knowledge and skills in our Neurosciences team and further develop clinical skill and knowledge across the spectrum of this specialty including Neurology, Stroke and Neurosurgery

  • Delivering a high standard of safe patient and family centre care to our patients who are both highly acute to ambulant and self-caring

  • Escalate clinical concerns and changes in a patient’s condition to the ANM and medical staff

  • Communication and support within the multidisciplinary team

  • Participate in Quality and Safety Activities and maintenance of NSQHS standard


We have ongoing full and part time positions, working across clinical shifts within Ward 54 as required.


About You


We are looking for an experienced RN who has demonstrated skills in an acute setting and thrives when working in a fast paced environment. With your caring and engaging manner you will be required to work a 7 day a week rotational roster. You will have access to resources to support you in this position, enabling you to further advance your leadership and management skills whilst representing role model nursing excellence and delivering a high standard of patient care.

What you need



  • Australian working rights

  • Current AHPRA registration

  • Registered with Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia via AHPRA
