About the role

South West Healthcare (SWH) is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Registered Nurse to join our Paediatric Unit. Our 12 bed Children's ward looks after our youngest and most vulnerable patients, caring for babies, children and adolescents with a variety of medical and surgical conditions. As part of our highly skilled Paediatric Unit you will work cohesively with various clinical and allied health services to provide positive outcomes for patients and their families.

This is a part time fixed term position (64 hours per fortnight) until June 2022 backfilling parental leave.

What you bring

The successful applicant will have current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse and demonstrate a high level clinical and problem solving skills together with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels. Previous Paediatric nursing experience and evidence of your commitment to ongoing education and professional development will be highly regarded. A Graduate Certificate in Nursing (Paediatrics) is desirable.

Employment Terms and Conditions will be in line with the Nurses and Midwives (Victorian Public Health Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2016-2020, with the appropriate classification Registered Nurse Grade 2.
