The Opportunity:
Albury Wodonga Health, Special Care Nursery is seeking experienced Neonatal Nurses to join our team.
As an experienced neonatal nurse you will work in the team leader role, modelling professional practice and family centred care within our team.
We are looking for neonatal nurses who are confident and competent in attending deliveries and initiating neonatal resuscitation. You will have experience in caring for babies requiring respiratory support and ideally be able to assist with intubations / advance neonatal resuscitation when required. You will also be required to provide leadership to other team members.
You will possess excellent problem solving skills and interpersonal communication. You will demonstrate a commitment to quality improvement and professional development of yourself and others.You will be part of a tight knit, supportive team who endeavour to provide the best clinical and developmental care to neonate and their families.

Our Special Care Nursery operates as a Level 4 service caring for babies born at 32 weeks and above, and 1500grams birthweight and above. We provide care to around 450 neonates per year, with approximately 40 transfers to tertiary centres. Our service provides non invasive ventilation to neonates, including bubble CPAP and High Flow. Our staff also assist with intubation and ventilation of neonates requiring stabilisation prior to transfer to tertiary centres.
