An exciting opportunity exists for a motivated and skilled individual to join the Operating Theatre team as a Registered Nurse



  • Maternity leave -  Fixed term, part time 57hrs per fortnight (May 2020 - January 2021)


The role


We are seeking a Registered Nurse to work within our busy theatre complex for a fixed term, part time position. To be successful in the role you will need:



  • Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse

  • 12 months postgraduate experience preferably in a Perioperative or Surgical environment

  • Good time management skills and ability to change work priorities when required in a busy environment

  • Good communication skills

At our Graham Street campus in Shepparton, Perioperative Services consist of three operating theatres, a separate Day Procedure Unit (DPU) and 5 Post-Anaesthesia Care Unit (PACU) bays with Central Sterile Services Department located in the theatre complex. Specialities include Orthopaedics, Gynaecology, Urology, Dental, ENT as well as general surgeries from both resident and visiting consultants.

Our theatre complex is a busy Department operating electively for both adults and paediatric cases from Monday - Friday with emergency capacity on weekends and after hours. Our DPU runs Monday - Friday providing a range of endoscopy service including upper and lower GI and ERCP’s.
