  • Registered nurses are encouraged to apply for positions now open at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre on our Haematology Ward. 

  • Experience in haematology nursing is desirable, but not essential. 

  • We welcome applications from Registered nurses with at least 12 months postgraduate acute care nursing experience.

ABOUT OUR HAEMATOLOGY UNIT (Ward 5A)




Ward 5A is a 32-bed unit and is part of one of the largest haematology services in Victoria.



Our patient specialities include Myeloma, Lymphoma, Stem Cell Therapies and Breast Oncology.  Working in a patient focused and collegiate environment, the ward 5A team will support you grow as a specialised haematology nurse, responsible for comprehensive patient assessment and delivery of cancer care.


 


Your role in our future:


 


The successful applicant will possess the following:



  • Haematology and/or medical oncology experience (desirable, but not essential)

  • At least 12 months post graduate acute care experience

  • A willingness to continue learning about Haematology/Medical oncology nursing

  • Ability to demonstrate critical thinking and initiative

  • Enthusiasm for participation in a team environment

  • Excellence in patient focused care and communication

  • Personal qualities and behaviours reflective of Peter Mac's values of excellence, innovation and compassion
