About the roles:
We are seeking a number of full- and part-time oncology/haematology Registered Nurses.
Our Oncology/Haematology services are seeking registered nurses with sound and recent nursing experience.
Ward 4.1 at Box Hill Hospital is a busy, 30 bed, medical oncology and haematology inpatient ward, caring for a diverse cohort of patients. We provide care to patients across all stages of the cancer care continuum, from diagnosis through to end of life and survivorship. Our patients have access to associated outpatient and community services including a number of tumour-specific clinical nurse consultants, our day oncology and medical unit (DOMU), symptom and urgent review clinic (SURC), dedicated oncology hospital in the home (HITH) and oncology rehab. We host an autologous stem cell transplant services as well as the Victorian and Tasmanian Amyloidosis Service (VTAS).
Ward 3 North at Maroondah Hospital is a dynamic, fast-paced Oncology and Specialty Medical ward that also supports endocrinology patients, respiratory and NIV and telemetry. We are friendly and supportive with a strong multi-disciplinary team focus.
You will be a valued member of a highly dedicated, multi-disciplinary team incorporating medical, nursing and allied health professionals. We pride ourselves on going above and beyond to provide our patients with timely access to the best possible care. You will be supported by a team of experienced clinicians, including clinical educators and a cohesive leadership team. With a strong commitment to research and teaching, we offer many professional development opportunities, and our online learning platform, iLearn, holds a wealth of information to assist you with your ongoing learning and development.

About you:
You are dedicated, empathetic and adaptable. You have excellent decision-making skills, work well in a multidisciplinary team, are comfortable accessing central lines, able to perform intravenous cannulation and have the ability to respond to transfusion reactions. Chemotherapy administration accreditation is highly desired but not an essential criterion for working in the DOMU. To be successful in this role you should possess:
