Forensicare is the statutory agency responsible for the provision of adult forensic mental health services across Victoria.
Position based in Metropolitan Remand Centre. The services provided by Forensicare works alongside the primary mental health service to address the needs of offenders experiencing mental health issues of the wider prison community.
About the Role:
The Mental Health Nurse (RPN3) delivers care within the custodial setting, practicing a recovery framework and using sound judgement to assess, plan, implement high standard of patient care. The mental health nurse works alongside the primary mental health services to ensure high quality of initial assessment and follow up is provided. This role is a FIXED TERM - 5 Months. Monday - Sunday. The RPN 3 is expected to provide a high standard of initial assessment of prisoner's coming into custody as well as follow up support post Reception.

Successful applicants will be required to provide evidence of COVID-19 Vaccination prior to commencing work at Forensicare.
