Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN3) - Orygen PARC
- Collaborate with and shift lead multidisciplinary team
- Multiple ongoing full-time (inc ADOs) and part-time roles
- Rotating roster | Flexibility and work-life balance
Your new role:
- Provide specialist mental health nursing including physical and mental health, nutritional state, medication management, risk assessment, interventions for managing side effects and monitoring physical health status
- Support team on shift-by-shift basis, leading clinical interventions, mental health risk assessment formulation and treatment planning
- Escalation of care – liaise with other services within Orygen and community services
- Provide supervision and consultation to RPN2’s, graduate nurses and multidisciplinary team
- Work with lived experience workforce and families/carers to support young people with their recovery goals
About you:
- Relevant registration and qualifications
- Advanced clinical skills, including the assessment and management of high-risk clinical situations
- Knowledge of mental health system of care, the common mental health and substance use issues faced by young people, and evidence-based treatments for major adolescent health issues
- Knowledge of and work within the framework of early intervention, de-stigmatisation, diversity, inclusion, and non-discrimination
