About the role
South West Healthcare's (SWH) Warrnambool Adult Mental Health Service is seeking applications from committed and dynamic Registered Psychiatic Nurse to join us.
As a valued member of our multidisciplinary team, you will support consumers with severe and persistent mental illness living within the local community. In a recovery oriented model of care, consumers, their families and carers are provided with clinical and non-clinical treatment as part of short and long term case management. Service provision is recovery oriented and trauma informed utilising natural and existing community supports as required in the South West region.
This role will work within the team using systematic mechanisms that ensures regular communication and the flow of information with other clinical staff and professionals, families, and stakeholder groups located both internally and externally to South West Healthcare.
This is a Permanent full time (80 hour per fortnight) position, with a monthly ADO. Part time applications will also be considered.
What you bring
The successful applicant will have broad experience in mental health clinical services, including a proven ability to work within a team based multi-disciplinary model. A working knowledge of Recovery Oriented practices, trauma informed care, current mental health trends, legislation and relevant policy directions of mental health services also is essential for this role.
Excellent written, communication and interpersonal skills and initiative with proven ability to work autonomously and within a team, as well as an ability to demonstrate good judgement, work planning, decision-making abilities and organisational skills are essential.
