What You Will Be Doing
Peninsula Health is excited to invite student midwives to apply for one of our newly created RUSOM positions. You will join a passionate team of midwives to provide care for over 3000 women per year.

As a RUSOM you will be able to experience working within a multidisciplinary team who provide care for women of varied risk profiles. We will be one of the first maternity services offering RUSOMs opportunities to work across the 24hr care continuum providing improved access to working during your undergraduate study. Students will be required to have completed 2 years of undergraduate study and will be supported with a comprehensive orientation process.

What You Need
We anticipate you will have:
• Currently studying and have successfully completed at least the second year of an undergraduate Bachelor of Midwifery or Bachelor of Nursing/Bachelor of Midwifery qualification.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including relationship building, cooperation and conflict resolution commensurate to the level of education.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and in a professional manner with a wide range of people, including co-workers, health professionals, residents and family members
• Previous healthcare experience (desirable)
