About the role
An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic Registered Undergraduate Student of Nursing (RUSON) to join the team at South West Healthcare specifically within our supportive and welcoming Medical/Palliative Care, Rehabilitation, Emergency Unit and Acute Units. As a RUSON you will support the health care service in assisting Registered Nurses to provide delegated aspects of patient care to our patients.
We are looking for RUSON's (students in year 2 and year 3 of Bachelor of Nursing- including 3rd and 4th year double degree students) to support the nursing team in the delivery of safe, effective care. The RUSON works under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse at all times, within their level of education and assessed competencies and also under clearly defined role parameters.
Applicants will be required to commit to 0.2 EFT (16 hours per fortnight) on a roster across 7 days a week. Positions are for a fixed term with the opportunity to work varying hours to suit individual circumstances and align with existing study commitments.
The successful applicants will receive significant insight into our Graduate Nurse Program as well as considerable access to our nurse educators.
What you bring
Along with motivation to contribute in a fast paced and highly skilled workplace, to be eligible candidates must be currently enrolled in a University course that leads to registration as a Registered Nurse in Australia and able to obtain a written recommendation from applicable University.
