About the role

Reporting to the Director of the Centre for Research and Evaluation the Registry Manager will oversee two Clinical Quality Registries focused on improving the care and outcomes of patients experiencing cardiac emergencies. Namely, the Victorian Ambulance Cardiac Arrest Registry and the STEMI Quality Registry.    This is a great opportunity for a dynamic leader to shape the care of key Ambulance Victoria patients and drive innovation across service delivery.  Key functions of the role include:

Overseeing registry staff to ensure registries are of high quality and contemporary

Provision of actionable insights to key internal and external stakeholders to ensure continuous improvement

Provide oversight and growth of a large research portfolio aimed at improving patient outcomes

Provide support to clinical trials using registry data

Streamline data capture and reporting and steer a growth strategy for Ambulance Victoria registries.

About you

To be successful in this role you will hold appropriate post graduate tertiary qualification (PhD or equivalent) in a relevant discipline and will need to demonstrate the following.

Strong understanding of the health system, background, and qualifications in a relevant health profession highly desired

Experience in research governance and ethical requirements

Demonstrated experience in staff management

Experience in registries, reporting and quality improvement

Knowledge and experience using relevant software tools (e.g. statistical packages, database tools) and strong analytical skills

AV has introduced salary bands, and this position is graded at AV5. The AV grade salary range for an AV5 position is $119,839 - $141,669 plus 10% superannuation. The expectation is that employees will commence at the base of the grade applicable to a position.

The successful candidate will be required to make a Statutory Declaration and undertake an Australian National Criminal Check in conjunction with other pre-employment checks.
