This role provides an opportunity put your problem-solving skills to the test in a complex regulatory environment. We are looking for candidates with an ability to cut through issues that have legal and scientific complexity to get to the essence of the problem and communicate this clearly. You will work in a small, collaborative team within the Conservation Regulator that works closely with Legal Services Division, Biodiversity Division and across the Forests, Fire and Regions Group on timber harvesting regulatory strategy and other important strategic projects for the Conservation Regulator.

Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications

  • Background in relevant field, such as forestry, ecology or law
  • Good knowledge of existing regulatory systems and processes.

This is a fixed term position available up until 30 November 2021.
