About the role

We are an acute 24 bed renal and vascular surgery unit. We deliver evidenced based care to our patients and their families. We go above and beyond to maintain a strong sense of customer focus, accountability and a commitment to continuous improvement and excellence.

You are enthusiastic, motivated and keen to share your knowledge and experience, and develop your career further whilst being part of a supportive team. You have well-developed patient assessment and critical thinking skills. You will be a valued member of a diverse and inclusive, highly dedicated, multi-disciplinary team incorporating doctors, social workers, allied health and divisional therapists.  We pride ourselves on going above and beyond to provide our patients with timely access to high quality care.

About you 

You are dedicated, empathetic and adaptable. You understand, and are interested in, the complex and varied patient presentations cared for in the renal inpatient setting. To be successful in this role you should possess:

  • Current, condition-free registration with AHPRA
  • Recent Australian nursing experience in an acute renal and/or surgical ward
  • Highly developed interpersonal, communication and organisational skills
  • An ongoing desire to learn and commitment to professional development
  • A strong commitment to high quality care
  • The ability to work as part of a diverse team
  • The ability to embrace a challenge
