Your role in our future.
An opportunity exists immediately for a motivated and highly skilled scientist to join the Beavis Laboratory (https://www.petermac.org/users/assoc-prof-paul-beavis) at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre. Our team is focused on targeting the immune system against cancer using a variety of different immunotherapeutic approaches. In this project, the candidate will develop an integrated approach to cancer treatment through approaches designed to enhance lymphocyte and chimeric antigen receptor trafficking to the tumour site. Ideal candidates will possess experience and skills in molecular biology, tissue culture, in vivo immunology and flow cytometry. Experience of CRISPR/Cas9 and generation of genetically engineered T cells are highly desirable. This position is an ideal opportunity for either an experienced research assistant or a highly ambitious individual looking for research experience prior to undertaking a PhD.
