Opened in 1 July 2014, the Mental Health Complaints Commissioner (MHCC) is an independent specialist complaint body established under the Mental Health Act 2014. We receive and resolve complaints about public mental health services and assist service providers to develop their own accessible and responsive complaint approaches. We also receive reports from public mental health services about the complaints they receive and make recommendations for service and system improvements.

The MHCC receives funding and administrative support from the Department of Health (DH). Staff are DH employees who report directly or indirectly to the Commissioner of the MHCC.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Resolutions Officer x2 - Resolution & Review Team

The Mental Health Complaints Commissioner is an independent specialist statutory body established under the Mental Health Act 2014. We deal with complaints about Victorian public mental health services.

Are you:

  • An effective communicator and solution focused promote improved outcomes for people and broader service improvements?
  • Knowledgeable of mental health services and able to promote improved outcomes for people and broader service improvements?
  • Able to deliver effective approaches to assessment and resolution of complaints?
  • Experienced in working in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of resilience?
