We are looking for a Risk and Assurance Coordinator to work closely with executive leadership to manage Parliament of Victoria’s Risk, Governance, and Internal Audit processes.

About the role
The Office of the Secretary provides strategic and operational advice on risk management, governance and internal audit to executive leadership and work units across the organisation.

As Risk and Assurance Coordinator you will provide specialist advice to executive leaders and stakeholders as well as oversee Parliament's Risk Register and Reporting Framework. Your work will promote a positive risk culture which you will further embed organisation wide through education, guidance and training of staff.

About you
You possess a formal qualification in risk, audit or related field or substantial experience in a similar role and have well-developed written skills with the ability to translate and transcribe complex frameworks into concise reports and briefings.

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of governance, risk management and quality improvement concepts, with a focus on systems improvement and organisational change. Previous experience implementing risk management frameworks and processes in accordance with the Victorian Government Risk Management Framework and other relevant Standards will be highly beneficial.
