Base Salary Range $34.02 - $45.49 per hour
Permanent - Full or Part Time positions

The Health Service


Wimmera Health Care Group has an average of16,000 ED attendances, 12,500 admissions and 4,600 operations annually. We have a modern theatre complex, including a day procedure unit, a five-bed intensive care unit, and acute and subacute wards all set within a picturesque garden setting.



The Position


We are seeking suitably qualified Registered Nurses to join our dedicated Emergency Department team to provide nursing care according to individual patient assessment and healthcare needs. These permanent full or part time rolesinclude working a rotating 7 day, 24 hour roster. The successful applicants will provide person centred care according to individual patient assessment and needs.



Key Selection Criteria include:


Essential:



  • Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration

  • Clinical Skills and experience relevant to emergency nursing

  • Sound clinical decision making and problem solving skills

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

  • Commitment to continuous quality improvement, customer service and patient centred care

  • Proficiency in the use of information technology

  • Able to work effectively both in a team and autonomously


Desirable:



  • Post Graduate/Certificate qualifications

  • Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support or willingness to obtain the qualification

  • Experience with Ability to work in Triage
