Dual Registered Midwife / Nurse


RN Grade 2 (YP4 - YP11)
Permanent Full or Part Time

Salary Range $62,171 - $78,972 pa

We are seeking Dual Registered Midwives to join our dedicated team at WHCG. These permanent full or part time positions include working a rotating 7 day, 24 hour roster including participation in an on-call roster. The successful applicant will provide antenatal, birth suite, postnatal, special care nursery, general surgical, medical and paediatric care. This is an exciting opportunity to work within our midwifery domiciliary service and proposed antenatal program.

Key Selection Criteria include:


  • Current Midwifery and Registered Nurse registration with AHPRA

  •  Ability to demonstrate proficiency is midwifery and care of the newborn

  •  Holds a contemporary professional practice portfolio containing evidence of learning and experience that underpin demonstrable knowledge and skills

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team, can demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills

  •  Commitment to Baby Friendly Hospital Initiative and demonstrated commitment to woman centred maternity care

  • Demonstrated understanding of continuous Quality Improvement



  • Post graduate nursing qualifications in paediatrics, neonatal nursery

  • Drivers Licence

  • Proficient in the use of information technology
