Safety Officer

  • Salary range - $90,067 - $102,192
  • Employment type - Ongoing – full time (the department provides flexible working arrangements)
  • Usual work location – Based in Traralgon with the flexibility to work from alternative locations across Gippsland

About the role

The Safety Officer sits within Regional Transport and is responsible for supporting the development and implementation of safety programs and procedures to ensure Department of Transport's proactive safety culture is embedded in the region. This role also supports compliance with safety obligations and will work closely with the Corporate Safety Team.

  • Certificate IV in Workplace Health and Safety

A qualification in Workplace Health and Safety is mandatory, however for the right applicant completion of the qualification may be included as part of the first 12 months of employment.
