Outstanding candidates are encouraged to apply for a  Biochemistry Scientist-In-Charge position at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre – a place where our normal days are extraordinary; as are the people we care for.

We are seeking an experienced Biochemistry Scientist to lead a team of six staff members in our busy pathology lab. In this role you will be overseeing the daily workflow of the lab, liaising with internal and external clinicians, and undertaking a leadership role in departmental education, professional development, technical expertise, quality assurance and supporting clinical trials. You will also provide leadership to your team by encouraging high customer service standards.

Your previous experience working in specialised diagnostic Biochemistry in a NATA accredited lab, coupled with a values based leadership approach, will ensure your success in this position. The role is currently a full time fixed term position for approximately 18 months covering long-term leave.
