We are seeking motivated individuals to join our dedicated Security / OH&S team. This casual position is available immediately and includes working a rotating 7 day, 24 hour roster. The successful applicant will deal with clients, family members and visitors who may be violent, aggressive, agitated, and/or suffering a mental health illness. The security officer will be responsible for ensuring the safety and wellbeing of everyone involved in accordance with the service's policies and procedures.

Key Selection Criteria include:

Essential:

• Successful completion of the Certificate II in Security Operations.
• Ability to work as a team member in a multidisciplinary environment
• Ability to work in a self-directed manner and prioritise workload
• Adopts a customer service approach in dealing with staff, patients and visitors
• Courteous and professional manner
• Demonstrated skills in communicating effectively with people
• Strong personal work ethic, initiative and service orientation
• Suitable endorsements from referees
• Willingness to work under the direction of Nursing staff and Management

Desirable:

• Experience in a hospital environment
