Monash Health is the largest public health service in Victoria, employing over 18,000 people across a range of specialities, working at over 70 locations in Melbourne’s south-east.  The work of our Security team is critical in providing a safe environment for our people, patients and visitors.  A key element of our risk management approach is the effective management of our security and access control systems.


We are now looking to appoint an experienced Security Administrator to support the security systems function in a full time, permanent role.


About the role


Reporting to the Security Systems Manager, this role is responsible for programming within the access control system, conducting audits and compliance checks and generating reports.  In addition, you will assist in the areas of:



  • planning;

  • research;

  • training; and

  • technical advice.


Your overall objective is to support the Manager in providing high quality security and access control services.  While the role is based at our Kingston campus, you will be required to travel between Monash Health sites.


About You


You have already gained experience in managing electronic security and access control systems, including knowledge of their design, function and installation.  With a detailed knowledge of contemporary security systems, you are comfortable working with large amounts of data and have well developed Excel skills.  In addition, you can demonstrate knowledge of relevant legislation, standards and codes and you have some experience managing service and/or maintenance contracts, ideally in a large, complex,multi-site environment.


Experience as a security technician and/or working with Siemens security systems will be highly regarded.


What You Need



  • Security Advisor licence

  • Certificate IV in Security and Risk Management CPP40707 or currently studying to complete within 12 months of appointment

  • Excellent report writing and computer skills

  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information appropriately

  • Current open or Green Provisional Driver’s licence


Certificate IV Maintain Network Security Systems is desirable but not mandatory.
