The role
The VPSC's Workforce and Engagement Branch supports the public sector to develop and maintain a workforce that meets the needs of the Victorian community. We lead reform projects, diversity strategies and employment programs designed to drive important change at scale.
The Aboriginal Employment Unit sits within the Workforce and Engagement Branch and is mainly responsible for implementing the Barring Djinang Aboriginal Employment Strategy for the Victorian public sector.
This exciting and high-responsibility role will lead the delivery of core Barring Djinang initiatives as directed by the Manager, AEU, as well as contribute to the broader operations of the AEU.
About you
You will have a knowledge and understanding of key issues impacting upon Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. You will have strong stakeholder engagement and project or contract management experience. Your ability to analyse and evaluate information for providing advice on complex issues will be paramount.
This is an Aboriginal prioritised position; therefore, Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people are strongly encouraged to apply.
