Senior Allied Health Clinician

MWAMHS Melton Community Health Service

  • MidWest Area Mental Health Service (MWAMHS) provides a comprehensive range of mental health services to consumers residing in Melton
  • The Melton Community Health service deliver specialist clinical Adult Mental Health programs
  • As a Senior Mental Health Clinician you will work within an integrated team, focusing on the acute function and providing senior support to daily processes and tasks.

Your New Role

  • Provide leadership and guidance through assessments and interventions for consumers with various psychiatric illnesses
  • Work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary care team in a community setting
  • Provide a high quality of care to consumers who present as acutely unwell and who need short term intensive care.
  • Pro-actively contribute to innovative service planning and development

About You

This is a multidisciplinary role open to Occupational Therapists, Psychologits and Social Workers

  • Strong commitment to consumer-focused service delivery
  • Passionate about improving outcomes for people with a mental illness
  • Extensive experience in assessment/treatment of people with mental illness / psychiatric disability
  • High level understanding of the Mental Health Act 2014 and knowledge of the new Mental Health and Wellbeing Act 2022 and an awareness of other legislation governing mental health practice
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience working within a multidisciplinary team
