POSITION SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Head of Brand, Campaigns and Advertising, the Senior Campaigns Adviser will be responsible for delivering high-level advertising and campaigns advice to key stakeholders across the Department of Health and its agencies.
The Senior Campaigns Adviser develops and delivers campaign strategies for major projects and initiatives and contributes to the implementation and evaluation of these strategies.
They will collaborate with colleagues across the Communications and Engagement Branch to ensure campaigns are integrated and aligned to the overarching departmental priorities.
The Senior Campaigns Adviser supports the Head of Brand, Campaigns and Advertising to manage the governance and integrity of the department's advertising process and drive efficiencies to meet organisational goals.

Accountabilities

  • Develop, implement and evaluate cost-effective, audience and insights-led campaigns that align with the Department's strategic priorities.
  • Manage budget and costs for the Department's advertising campaigns.
  • Implement appropriate advertising and governance processes for all departmental and satellite agency campaigns.
  • Establish strategic planning and outputs to deliver on branch, divisional and departmental objectives.
  • Develop, deliver and evaluate communication strategies and deliver or oversee production of print, online and multimedia materials and departmental events.
  • Work collaboratively across the department to ensure the delivery of effective communications that are of a high written and visual standard and which comply with departmental and whole-of-Victorian Government guidelines.
  • Initiate and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders and seek opportunities to engage stakeholders in the development and application of new and/or contemporary methodologies to improve communications services.
  • Provide multi-disciplinary public relations and communications expertise and authoritative advice.
  • Keep accurate and complete records of your work activities in accordance with legislative requirements and the department's records, information security and privacy policies and requirements.
  • Take reasonable care for your own health and safety and for that of others in the workplace by working in accordance with legislative requirements and the department's occupational health and safety (OHS) policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrate how the actions and outcomes of this role and work unit impact clients and the department's ability to deliver, or facilitate the delivery of, effective support and services.
