Position Summary: 

The Senior Change Communications Adviser sits as part of the Corporate and Change Communications team. The role will deliver high quality and integrated communications strategies which will help drive positive staff engagement in key department initiatives and change projects, using best practice internal engagement and communications skills, tools and techniques. They will build strong relationships with internal stakeholders in a partnership approach, and act as a change champion to ensure staff are well informed and engaged with change.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide authoritative and expert advice to executives, business units and other key internal and clients on the development, delivery and evaluation of change communication and staff engagement strategies and related change and reputation risk management.Ensure corporate communications are audience and insights led, so staff know what is happening across the department, how it affects them and where they can access support or get involved.
  • Forge strong connections across the department, input to forward planning processes and enable the effective operation of the department's communications and engagement business partnership approach.
  • Provide communications advice and work collaboratively across the department to ensure the delivery of effective communications that are of a high written and visual standard and comply with departmental and whole-of-Victorian Government guidelines.
  • Assess and respond to policy and process changes and act as a change agent to support initiatives aligned to the department's corporate direction.
  • Seek opportunities to engage stakeholders in the development and application of new and/or contemporary methodologies to improve communications and change services.
  • Keep accurate and complete records of your work activities in accordance with legislative requirements and the department's records, information security and privacy policies and requirements.
  • Take reasonable care for your own health and safety and for that of others in the workplace by working in accordance with legislative requirements and the department's occupational health and safety (OHS) policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrate how the actions and outcomes of this role and work unit impact clients and the department's ability to deliver, or facilitate the delivery of, effective support and services.

Mandatory Vaccination Policy:
