About us

COVID-19 Quarantine Victoria (CQV) is responsible for Victoria's COVID-19 Accommodation response, including:

  • Mandatory quarantine for returned overseas travellers
  • Emergency Accommodation for people that cannot safely isolate/quarantine in their accommodation.

The Victorian Chief Health Officer has mandated that all returning overseas travellers arriving in Victoria must go into mandatory quarantine for 14 days from the day of their arrival to help prevent the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19).

In addition, CQV is responsible for the operation of Victoria's Emergency Accommodation program for community members and their close contacts who have tested positive for COVID-19 and where an assessment has concluded that there are no other suitable alternative accommodation options for self-isolation.

Infection control and prevention is the primary objective of the mandatory quarantine and emergency accommodation programs.

About the role

The Senior Clinical Governance and Quality Officers, reporting directly to the Manager Clinical Governance and Quality, are responsible for undertaking significant reviews of clinical delivery systems within the CQV services environment, conduct regular location based audits of hotel accommodation based health services against the CQV Quality Framework, and provide expert and authoritative clinical advice on solutions to highly complex and sensitive issues to ensure improved quality of services to all residents in hotel quarantine.

Travel to the service locations is an expectation of the role and the successful incumbent will be required to be on call on a rotating roster basis.

This role also includes:

  • Contribute to the development of sound clinical governance and risk management frameworks that fosters a culture of accountability, whilst encouraging innovation and problem solving
  • Provide clinical advice and direction in clinical risk management to ensure accountability for clinical practice and resident safety.

About you

As our ideal candidate, you will have:

  • Demonstrated experience working in a highly sensitive and complex health environment
  • Demonstrated experience in a quality focused role coupled with a thorough understanding of Risk Management principles.
