Senior Mental Health Clinician


Opportunity available for a Registered Nurse (RPN3/4), Clinical Psychologist (G2/3), Social Worker or Occupational Therapist (G2/3)



  • Multiple Permanent Full Time positions (part time opportunities also considered)

  • $93,860.00 - $113,911.20 per annum dependent on experience (pro rata for part time)

About the role


Multiple opportunities exist within the Adult Community Mental Health Services in the Koonung Continuing Care Team for passionate and enthusiastic & experienced senior mental health clinicians with sound clinical knowledge, and mental health experience.


The roles will work in partnership with consumers, carers, families and other service providers in order to provide high quality case management and discipline specific mental health assessment, treatment, consultation and community linkage services within a recovery-oriented framework. This position will be based at our clinic in Box Hill, close proximity to Box Hill Central, and provides both centre based and outreach services.


This is a great opportunity for an experienced mental health clinician wanting a senior role in a supportive, cohesive, and friendly multidisciplinary clinical mental health team. About you:


To be successful in this role you should possess:




  • Qualifications and experience as specified in the position description, either as a Registered Nurse, Clinical Psychologist, Social Worker, or Occupational Therapist with appropriate registration

  • Experience in community mental health practice including case management and discipline specific practices

  • Demonstrated work experience in mental health in a senior role to be considered for RPN4/G3 Allied Health

  • Demonstrated ability to provide mental health assessments and interventions for consumers and their carers individually and/or in groups utilising a case management model

  • Demonstrated commitment to and ability to practice utilising the recovery approach in mental health treatment and support with a focus on working collaboratively with consumers and carers to promote self-determination and enable progress towards reaching personal recovery goals.

  • Well-developed interpersonal, organisational, and communication skills

  • A strong commitment to high quality care

  • The ability to work as part of a diverse team

  • Flexible and agile in responding to the operational and clinical challenges and complexity with a focus on supporting consumers and their family/carers to address their goals in their recovery journey
