An exciting new opportunity exists for an enthusiastic and highly experienced Senior Clinician and Coordinator: Eating Disorders to join Austin Health's Child and Youth Mental Health Service (CYMHS). The role has been confirmed ongoing funding in response to growing demand for young people with severe eating disorders in Victoria. It provides clinical leadership in the provision of assessment and treatment of children and adolescents with eating disorder referred to Austin Health.
This role is part of and has reach across the Division/Austin Health to support the mental health needs of young people and their families. It reports operationally through to the Divisional Manager to support all the CYMHS teams

The Senior Clinician/Coordinator : Eating Disorders role will coordinate the Adolescent and Child Eating Disorder (ACED) program/clinic functioning with CYMHS pathways to support timely and comprehensive responses for young people with eating disorders. Together with the Consultant Psychiatrist your passion and expertise will help us develop and improve service quality, safety and delivery of care. You will also contribute to consultations, education and training that positively enhance the outcomes for clients with complex eating disorders. This role includes a strong focus on ensuring practice is in line with contemporary, evidenced-based approaches and current Victorian Government initiatives, including the Recovery Framework.
