Are you a digital communications professional who thrives on exciting new challenges and has a passion for helping support Victoria's multicultural communities?

The Victorian Multicultural Commission (VMC) is an independent statutory body constituted under the Multicultural Victoria Act 2011, which sets out the Commission's objectives and functions.

As a conduit between communities and the government, the VMC's role involves identifying and investigating issues faced by culturally diverse communities, advising the Minister for Multicultural Affairs and making recommendations to government on policies, services and legislation. Working in collaboration with communities, the Commission leads strategic partnerships across all sectors to champion diversity, improve support and access to government services.

The VMC is looking for a Senior Communications Adviser with a flair for digital campaigns and communications to help promote and support multiculturalism and cultural diversity in Victoria. Working closely with the Manager, Strategic Communications and Events, you will take the lead on digital communications including content management and production for the website, social media and electronic direct mail (eDMs).

As a senior member of the team, you will also lead the development and implementation of marketing campaigns to promote Cultural Diversity Week and other VMC events and initiatives to maximise audience reach and impact.

To be successful in this role, you will be a talented storyteller with strong editorial skills, excellent planning and organisation skills, outstanding stakeholder consultation skills, an abundance of creativity and a flexible approach to project delivery.

A relevant tertiary qualification is desirable.
