The Senior Communications Strategist plays a key role in the development, delivery and evaluation of strategic communications plans and campaigns across the early childhood, school and higher education and skills portfolio teams. The adviser will lead the delivery of best practice and evidence-based communications that concisely communicates the education and training narrative to our staff and the broader public.

As a Senior Communications Strategist you will:

  • Develop strong client relationships.
  • Deliver and evaluate data-driven strategic communication plans.
  • Manage projects, including working closely with other teams in the division driving implementation work.
  • Manage external campaigns, marketing and engagement activities.
  • The role also actively participates in a broad range of communication tasks, events and activities to support the delivery of the Division's priority work. Ad hoc after-hours work may be required.

We are looking for 1 full-time Senior Communications Startegist contract end date is 30 June 2023.

Vaccination

For this role, you are required to provide proof of  your up-to-date vaccination status as part of the recruitment process prior to commencement of employment.  This role requires onsite attendance at one or more department work locations.
