The metro tram contracts management team provides contract, commercial and governance advice and oversight of the tram contracts operating on the public transport network. The team provides a single user interface to the metropolitan rail network and transport operators.
About the Role
The Senior Contract and Commercial Officer – (Yarra Trams) sits within Rail Services and will ensure the effective and robust contract management of the MR4 Franchise Agreement with Yarra Trams and realises expected benefits from the contracting arrangements. The role will be a subject matter expert on all relevant contractual documents and will provide authoritative advice on Yarra Trams' Franchise Agreement compliance and contractual performance matters. This role will proactively identify risks and issues related to the contractual deliverables and obligations of the franchisee under the MR4 Franchise Agreement and resolve these in conjunction with the franchisee and DTP stakeholders to drive improved outcomes for the State and passengers. The role will also provide timely and responsive support to the Associate Director – Contract and Commercial.
This role proactively identifies risks and issues related to the contractual deliverables and obligations of the franchisee under the MR4 Franchise Agreement and resolves these in conjunction with the franchisee and DoT stakeholders.
The Contract & Commercial Officer supports the processing and administration of franchisee payment claims and assists with the coordination of responses to the franchisee on behalf of DTP.
