Senior Contract Manager opportunity - take a leadership role within an experienced and supportive Commercial team, overseeing the contractual and commercial management aspects for the North East Link Project. Embody, practice and promote collaboration, quality and accountability as you work in partnership with project teams, contractors and internal and external stakeholders to delivery commercial success for Victoria's largest infrastructure project.

About the opportunity
Critical to our success in building this $15.8bn infrastructure project for Victoria, is the Senior Contract Manager, who supports the contractual and commercial management of major construction packages for the North East Link Project. You will be charged with managing and providing contractual and commercial advice throughout the project life cycle, including developing and initiating contracts, tender preparation, evaluation, negotiation, contract award and developing and maintaining contract management systems through the delivery and contract close-out phases.

About you:
You're a decisive self-starter with a strong ability to facilitate robust conversations, influence and negotiate effectively to overcome issues, identify opportunities and reach mutually beneficial agreements. A refined understanding of commercial and contractual issues at all stages of major construction project life cycle is essential components to succeed in this role. Additionally, our successful applicant will also possess;

  • demonstrated abilities developing a suite of quality procurement documentation in line with strategic directions,
  • natural leadership and collaborative style that brings together a broad range of parties and a genuine desire to work and support others to operate, in a multi-disciplinary function environment,
  • proven experience managing major infrastructure project contract administration and;
  • comprehensive understanding of principles, practices and standards associated with contract management to deliver a specific outcome at a specific time, often as part of a larger program.
