The Senior Cultural Heritage and Native Title Advisor will apply their advanced practice and knowledge across all aspects of cultural heritage and native title planning approvals required for the delivery of major road projects.

We oversee more than 50 projects as a cornerstone of Victoria's Big Build, including some of the State's most important roads.

This is a VPS 5 role - $102,637 - $124,183 + Super.   3 Years Fixed-Term, Full time. 

Join us in building better connections for Victoria by:

• Assisting with implementing MRPV's framework in relation to Aboriginal and historic heritage management and native title.
• Contributing to maintaining strategic partnerships and formal agreements with Registered Aboriginal Parties and Traditional Owner organisations to deliver mutually beneficial outcomes in accordance with State and Commonwealth policy settings and legislative frameworks.
• Working with key government and non-government stakeholders, including Aboriginal community leaders regarding cultural heritage and native title matters to achieve successful outcomes.
• Providing input to implementing innovative initiatives to continuously improve MRPV's work in relation to cultural heritage and Native Title requirements.
• Providing advice and support on cultural heritage (both Aboriginal and historical) and native title matters to MRPV's project teams.

Naturally we are looking for a proven track record in providing advice regarding Aboriginal and historic heritage, native title and Aboriginal community engagement across Victoria.

You will have demonstrable experience in building positive relationships with key stakeholders from a diverse range of community groups and statutory authorities to achieve successful outcomes for projects. Knowledge of GIS, database management and heritage permits and registrations would be viewed extremely favourably.
