About COVID-19 Quarantine Victoria

COVID-19 Quarantine Victoria (CQV) is responsible for Victoria's COVID-19 accommodation response, including quarantine for returned overseas travellers and emergency accommodation for people unable to safely isolate in their homes.

Infection prevention and control is our primary objective and is supported by a proud and committed workforce across frontline operations and corporate functions. Together, we work hard to keep Victorian's safe during this global pandemic.

 

About the role

As a Senior Data Analyst supporting the CQV – Project Support Office Team, you will leverage your data analysis experience to proactively anticipate and respond to urgent data needs, support operational priorities through the generation of high quality data analysis and insights, advise on the development of new reporting products in response to business requirements, whilst identify and drive opportunities for improvements.

Travel within the greater Melbourne area to COVID-19 accommodation sites may be required and work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays. Appropriate remuneration will be applied.

Key Accountabilities

  • Prepare and present technical reports, submissions, briefings, and correspondence at an advanced professional level, and maintain proper documentation recording and tracking systems in accordance with established performance standards.
  • Use newly developed data systems to generate reports and recommendations to support decision making on strategic and operational priorities.
  • Leverage subject matter expertise in data analysis to communicate on emerging issues, trends, threats and opportunities across the program.
  • Establish and develop successful and collaborative relationships with stakeholders at both the senior and local level, supporting the shared objectives of CQV.

About you

  • Experience in the provision of data analysis, strategic reporting and/or insight generation for senior stakeholders within a high pressure and dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in communicating data and an understanding or experience in SQL and PowerBI will be highly advantageous.
  • Driven to meet tight deadlines, achieve targets and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Ability to operate well at both a strategic and operational level.
