Position Summary:

  • Establish and maintain key data governance mechanisms within the DIME Branch, including Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Lead the delivery of data governance capabilities including decision making framework, delegations of authority, internal reporting, forward planning, risk and issue management.
  • Oversee the development of documents and reports that ensure DIME is compliant with legislative and regulatory requirements
  • Provide authoritative advice on a range of data governance, compliance and accountability issues to the Director, Business Operations, DIME Executive Directors and to other stakeholders as required
  • Establish, manage and maintain collaborative working relationships with senior executives within DIME and across the COVID-19 Public Health Response in the performance of data governance and data reporting activities
  • Work across the DIME branch to ensure consistent data governance practices


  • Provide data governance support and guidance to teams within the DIME branch
  • Engage with the DIME leadership group to ensure any data governance changes are documented and communicated appropriately
  • Engage with and support teams within the DIME branch with data governance to ensure consistent best practice
  • Work with the leadership group and External Data Liaison to coordinate with the Commonwealth Government and other external public health stakeholders on data governance policies.
  • Drive ongoing improvements to data governance processes.
