Senior Economic Geologist, Mineral Systems
The Team
The position of Senior Economic Geologist, Mineral Systems forms a part of the Resources branch within the Forestry, Resources and Climate Change group.
The Resources Branch develops policy, programs and regulation to enable investment and generate jobs through the sustainable development of the State's earth resources, including extractives, minerals and petroleum.
The Role
The primary responsibility of the Senior Economic Geologist, Mineral Systems is to lead the design, implementation, and delivery of high-quality collaborative applied geoscience research programs to enrich our understanding of the mineral prospectivity associated with the rocks of Victoria. The Senior Economic Geologist provides authoritative evidence-based advice to inform government and external stakeholders, including industry and community.
