Senior Electrical Engineer

  • Annual Salary Range: $103,920 - $125,735 per annum plus superannuation
  • Tenure: Fixed Term (3 years)

About the Team

The Rolling Stock Development Division falls under the Network Design and Integration Group which transforms network strategies and plans into deliverable transport solutions. It is focused on the development and growth of the Victorian rolling stock industry.


About the Opportunity

The Senior Electrical Engineer will be responsible for managing complex issues relating to rolling stock systems design, interfacing requirements. This role will lead and manage personnel from the XT2.0 Project's Technical Advisor.


The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • High level technical expertise in the discipline of rolling stock engineering.
  • Technical experience and expertise in rolling stock Electrical systems such as electrical wiring, doors, HVAC, EMC, low voltage circuits and schematics.
  • Relevant experience in application of systems thinking and system engineering in a rolling stock engineering environment.
  • Experience in a rolling stock or transport project management environment.
  • High standard of interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to problem solve, communicate and report authoritatively on complex technical issues verbally and in written form to non-expert audiences.



  • An Electrical engineering degree qualification.
