Job Description

Respect Victoria has a one-year, full-time opportunity for a Senior Evaluation Specialist to undertake the strategic development and implementation of a Monitoring and Evaluation Framework. This position will play a key role supporting the Free From Violence First Action Plan 2018 - 2021 Monitoring and Evaluation Framework presently led by the Office for Women, Department of Premier and Cabinet. The position will strengthen the coordination of primary prevention evaluation of family violence and violence against women prevention efforts across the State. This work will also build the capacity of the prevention workforce funded under Free from Violence by supporting them to collect pertinent evaluation data. This is a unique opportunity to shape the evaluation of an exciting Victoria-wide project. The project has several aims: > Undertake a needs analysis of evaluation needs > Support evaluation capacity building across the sector > Support the transfer of evaluation best practice into evidence-informed programming and practice > Inform Respect Victoria’s work to provide advice to government about funding, grants and investment > Ensure practitioners' needs and voices are integrated into the work program > Build sector engagement with Respect Victoria’s work including our quality assurance role > Work with the Office for Women to build upon evaluation work-in-progress. The Framework will measure progress against indicators set out in the First Action Plan including; individual level indicators such as individual changes occurring as a result of local governments doing Workplace Equality and Respect activities, and organisational level indicators such as the existence or use of policies e.g. family violence leave policy. This project will also provide specific guidance and practical advice about how our organisation can support the self-determination of Aboriginal Victorians. The position will be co-located with Respect Victoria Research and Evaluation Team and the Office for Women. Are you A creative problem solver who enjoys developing new products from the ground up? An experienced evaluator with training in qualitative and quantitative research and evaluation methods? Able to translate and communicate knowledge from your work into creative, purposeful and meaningful tools and resources for practitioners? Able to work both independently and in a team?
