The Office of Public Prosecutions (OPP) is an independent statutory authority responsible for preparing and conducting criminal prosecutions in Victoria on behalf of the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP). Matters prosecuted by the DPP and the OPP involve serious crimes or matters that are of significance to the fair and effective operation of the Victorian criminal justice system. The OPP consists of the Solicitor for Public Prosecutions and a staff of approximately 470 providing legal and corporate support to the DPP, the Chief Crown Prosecutor and Crown Prosecutors in the exercise of their independent roles in the criminal justice system.
Senior HR Business Partner
The Office of Public Prosecutions has a rewarding opportunity for an experienced HR Generalist to join our growing team as a Senior HR Business Partner.
The Human Resources (HR) team sits within Corporate Services, which collectively and collaboratively provides expertise in people management, technology, records management and a range of other support services for the Legal Practice division.
The Senior HR Business Partners work proactively with management and employees in designated business units to ensure that the HR needs of the business are met. It is expected that Senior HR Business Partners hold current and detailed knowledge of legislation, systems and ways of working.
They are responsible for developing integrated solutions to HR issues in a timely manner and working collaboratively across the HR team to deliver innovative projects and people management initiatives.
